Burial Options at Our Grounds
We offer both Traditional and Natural Burial sites, giving families the choice between a more conventional memorial setting and a simpler, more environmentally sensitive alternative.
Both are set within the peaceful landscape of Kirkleatham Memorial Park and provide a dedicated place for remembrance and reflection.
Importantly, we do not charge additional burial fees for people who live outside the local area.
Traditional Burial
Traditional burial plots allow for an accompanying headstone or memorial, providing a lasting place of remembrance within our maintained grounds.
This option is ideal for families who would like a permanent memorial that can be visited, personalised and cared for over time.

Natural Burial
Natural burial plots are designed to preserve the land in its most natural state.
Natural burial plots have:
- No above-ground markers
- Only biodegradable materials permitted within the plot
This approach helps ensure the earth remains as undisturbed and environmentally friendly as possible, creating a gentle and lasting legacy.

We also provide the option to pre-purchase your burial plot.

You are welcome to visit the grounds before making any decision, and our team will be happy to talk through the available options with you.
No additional out-of-area fee
Unlike some local cemeteries, Kirkleatham does not charge an additional burial fee simply because you live outside the local area.
Traditional or Natural Burial — What’s the Difference?
Traditional Burial
A traditional plot offers a more conventional permanent resting place and allows for a headstone or memorial.
This gives family and friends a clearly marked place to return to, remember and reflect.
Natural Burial
A natural burial is intended to leave the land as undisturbed as possible.
There are no above-ground markers and only biodegradable materials are permitted within the burial plot.
